Professional Development

Our comprehensive leadership development offerings designed to help you connect with other next-gen leaders, learn from our region's most established leaders, and think critically about key business, policy, and civic issues facing Greater Boston. Professional development offerings are presented by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Leadership Initiatives.

Leadership Forum

Held annually, our Leadership Forum brings together established and next-generation leaders for a half-day of learning featuring workshops and a keynote from a renowned local leader. Attendees include alumni of our leadership program, as well as those interested in sampling our leadership programming before applying. Our 2018 event is centered on the theme of “Leading Across Generations,” and our keynote will feature Bertil and Edward Hult, leaders of EF Education First, an international education company that ranked number one on Boston Globe's 2017 Top Places to Work.

Boston's Future Leaders

Boston's long-term success depends on the preparedness of the next generation of leaders. Our Boston's Future Leaders (BFL) program is built to further that success, by providing rising leaders under the age of 40 the opportunity to focus on building the leadership skills and professional connections they'll need to lead Boston into the future. Through a year-long professional development platform, BFL participants gain exposure to established public, private and nonprofit leadership practices as well as the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Boston thriving.
